Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

• Be a South African citizen.
• Be a second, third, final year undergraduate or Honours student in the upcoming year.
• Have achieved an average of 65% or above for their undergraduate degree and in the latest examinations (mid-year/June).
• Have academic potential and motivation for a career within Santam.

Qualifications Funded

The bursary is open to students pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or Honours degree in:

• Actuarial Science
• Data Analytics
• Data Sciences
• Statistics
• Agriculture
• Civil, Geomatics, Mechanical Engineering
• Construction
• Insurance Technical
• Accounting
• Economics
• Finance
• Mathematics
• Risk Management

Specific criteria apply for Agricultural applicants. Please review these before applying.

What the Santam Bursary Covers

The bursary will cover capped costs for:

• Registration and tuition fees.
• Accommodation (deposit, admin fees, etc.).
• Learning materials (books, e-manuals, etc.).
• Laptop.
• Monthly allowance.
• Travel/transport allowance.

How to Apply

Applications must be completed online before 30 September current year to be considered for funding for the up coming academic year.

• Only South African citizens may apply.
• Ensure you have prepared all necessary supporting documents for upload.
