Care Giver
Introduction
Faircape Health is looking for experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Carers to join our team at Tokai Estate and Cle Du Cap. This role involves providing high-quality, personalised care to residents requiring frail care, dementia care, palliative care, sub-acute rehabilitation, and respite care.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, personal grooming).
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Support residents with daily activities (walks, meals, feeding assistance, social activities).
- Record all activities on the Healthware electronic system.
- Promptly report any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Adhere to infection control, health, and safety policies.
- Monitor residents via camera watch duty (night shifts).
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Carer training from a reputable organization (advantageous).
- SETA accreditation (advantageous).
Experience & Knowledge
- Previous caregiving experience required.
- Understanding of dementia, palliative, and rehabilitative care principles.
Skills & Attributes
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Physically strong and able to follow care protocols accurately.
Other Requirements
- Clear health, criminal, and credit record.
- Contactable references required.
Working Hours & Salary
- 16.25 shifts per month.
- Day shifts: 07:00 – 19:00 / Night shifts: 19:00 – 07:00 (night shift allowance included).
- Basic Salary: R5,800 per month (CTC).
- Total earnings up to R7,300 per month, including Sunday and public holiday work, quarterly bonuses, and extra shifts.
