The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government, is looking for a dedicated and organized Administration Clerk: Support Service to assist with essential clerical support to Heritage Western Cape and Heritage Resource Management Services. Purpose of the Role

To provide comprehensive administrative support services to ensure the smooth operation of the component and to assist in promoting and preserving cultural heritage in the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Render general clerical support services to the component
  • Provide supply chain clerical support services to both the component and Heritage Western Cape
  • Assist with personnel administration tasks within the component
  • Deliver financial administration support services within the component

 



 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)

Recommendation

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence
    (NB: Candidates with disabilities restricting driving but who have reasonable access to transport are welcome to apply.)

Competencies and Skills

  • Solid understanding of clerical and administrative tasks
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Good planning, organising, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

 



 

 

Remuneration

  • R 228 321 – R 268 950 per annum (Salary Level 5)
  • Plus service benefits including medical aid, pension-fund contributions, and housing assistance where applicable

  • Candidates may be required to complete a practical assessment, interview, and proficiency test.
