The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is inviting applications for a Cleaner position at Riversdale Clinic. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the healthcare facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Salary

• R138 486 – R163 131 per annum
• Plus benefits including:

Minimum Requirements

• Appropriate cleaning experience
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and waste disposal procedures
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the facility
• Implement infection prevention and control measures
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Ensure cost-effective use of cleaning materials
• Provide cleaning support to nursing staff
• Manage waste and refuse disposal
• Follow workplace policies, procedures, and code of conduct

Additional Requirements

• Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long hours
• Willingness to rotate between clinics in the sub-district
