Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).

Recommendations

  • Relevant experience in internal control, auditing, or governance.
  • A valid (Code B or higher) driving license, or reasonable access to transport for individuals with disabilities that restrict driving abilities.

 



 

 

 

Key Performance Areas

  • Provide clerical support services related to governance, assurance services, and fraud and loss management.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of financial prescripts through pre and post-audit inspections.
  • Maintain financial information and knowledge management, including voucher control.

Competencies

  • Knowledge of:
    • Financial norms and standards (Public Financial Management Act, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury directives/instructions).
    • Procurement and provisioning tasks, prescripts, regulations, accounting officer system, and delegations.
    • Record keeping and data capturing.
  • Skills in:
    • Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Written and verbal communication.
    • Interpersonal relations.
    • Flexibility and teamwork.
    • Accuracy, planning, and organization.
    • Basic numeracy skills and ability to perform routine tasks.

 



 

 

Remuneration

  • Salary: R216 417 per annum (Salary level 5)
  • Note: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
