Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Driver/Messenger positions:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Driving Requirements:
    • Minimum Code C driver’s license.
    • Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years driving experience, with at least 2 years of experience in transporting people.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of road traffic rules.
    • Ability to interact and communicate professionally with VIP clients.
    • Computer literate, with basic proficiency in using digital navigation tools (e.g., Google Maps).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Driver/Messenger with g-FleeT, you will be responsible for:

  • Transporting Clients:
    • Provide chauffeur or shuttle service to VIP clients, ensuring safe and timely transport to their destinations.
    • Plan and execute routes efficiently, communicating any changes to the planned route as needed.
    • Interact with clients professionally, maintaining a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Delivery Services:
    • Deliver documents, mail, and other items to g-FleeT stakeholders and clients.
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
  • Client Safety:
    • Apply defensive driving techniques and maintain a high level of awareness for safety.
    • Utilize hijack avoidance techniques and basic first aid knowledge.
    • Understand and use maps and navigation tools effectively.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide frontline customer service by respecting clients and addressing their queries politely.
    • Assist clients with luggage and provide information regarding the estimated time of arrival.
    • Promote g-FleeT’s services and brand positively.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Keep an updated vehicle logbook and sign off completed trips.
    • Complete necessary documentation accurately, including requisition forms and accident/damage reports.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
    • Ensure vehicles are clean and have sufficient fuel before trips.
    • Report any vehicle issues that may affect service delivery.
    • Monitor and follow up on vehicle maintenance schedules and license disk renewals.
