The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Cleaner at Diazville CDC. This role focuses on ensuring cleanliness and maintenance within the clinic facility, adhering to occupational health and safety policies, and supporting Waste Management procedures.

Employment Type: Permanent
Salary Range: R 131,265 – R 154,626 per annum
Location: Diazville CDC, Saldanha Sub-District, West Coast District

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant cleaning experience
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Physically capable of lifting/moving heavy objects and using cleaning equipment

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and refuse removal.
• Support waste management efforts and provide clean linen for consultation rooms.
• Follow all safety precautions and maintain a high standard of hygiene.
• Efficiently utilize and store cleaning materials and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness in all clinic areas.

 

 

 

 

Skills & Competencies

• Good interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with waste disposal policies and cleaning practices
• Ability to operate machinery and other cleaning equipment

Salary and Benefits

• Annual salary plus service benefits, including a 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing allowance, and medical aid.
