Introduction
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Cleaner at Diazville CDC. This role focuses on ensuring cleanliness and maintenance within the clinic facility, adhering to occupational health and safety policies, and supporting Waste Management procedures.
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary Range: R 131,265 – R 154,626 per annum
Location: Diazville CDC, Saldanha Sub-District, West Coast District
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant cleaning experience
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Physically capable of lifting/moving heavy objects and using cleaning equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and refuse removal.
- Support waste management efforts and provide clean linen for consultation rooms.
- Follow all safety precautions and maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Efficiently utilize and store cleaning materials and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness in all clinic areas.
Skills & Competencies
- Good interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with waste disposal policies and cleaning practices
- Ability to operate machinery and other cleaning equipment
Salary and Benefits
- Annual salary plus service benefits, including a 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing allowance, and medical aid.
