Lead/Senior Firefighter

Introduction

Fidelity Services Group is hiring a Lead/Senior Firefighter with Intermediate Life Support (ILS) certification to manage fire-related incidents and rescue services, alongside providing essential medical care, conducting fire prevention, and participating in training activities. This position requires quick and effective emergency responses to protect client lives and property, as well as the maintenance and operation of firefighting equipment and apparatus.

Key Responsibilities

• Fire and Emergency Response: Actively respond to fires, hazardous material incidents, and rescue operations as directed.
• Emergency Medical Care: Provide immediate care to injured individuals at the scene.
• Fire Prevention & Training: Conduct drills, training sessions, and educate employees on fire safety protocols.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and perform basic maintenance on firefighting vehicles and equipment.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations and conduct regular health and safety inspections.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, logs, and complete required documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Minimum of Grade 12
• Certifications: IFSAC Accredited, NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2, Firefighter II, EMT certification, and First Aid levels 1 to 3
• Experience: 2-3 years in firefighting, with Hazmat experience
• Licensing: Valid code C1 driver’s license with PrDP and advanced driving experience
• Core Skills: Strong communication, administrative, and customer liaison skills; sound knowledge of firefighting systems and Hazmat guidelines.
