Position: Primary Health Care Administrative Support Officer

- Salary: R376,413 – R443,403 per annum (includes service benefits such as a 13th cheque, employer pension contribution, housing, and medical aid allowances).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and management support to the Facility Manager and nearby Community Day Centres (CDCs).
- Manage financial operations including budget control and compliance.
- Supervise and manage staff effectively.
- Oversee facility Health Information, People Management, Supply Chain Management, and related support services such as:
- Cleaning, Security, Waste Management, Grounds Maintenance, and Asset Management.
- Infrastructure, IT equipment, and minor projects (e.g., hygiene projects).
- Coordinate transport and fleet services.
- Act as Labour Relation Liaison to the Facility Manager, Unit Managers, and staff.
- Represent the facility in safety, security, quality assurance, OHS/IPC, and other support-related meetings at institutional and provincial levels.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Matric Certificate plus an appropriate National Certificate (NQF 5).
- Experience: Recognizable supervisory experience in a Primary Health Care environment.
- Skills:
- Strong managerial, supervisory, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of legislation and policies relevant to public health support services.
- Proficient in disciplinary and conflict management.
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and systems such as BAS/LOGIS, PERMIS, and IPWIS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
- Willingness to work after hours when needed.
