Position Overview

• Job Title: Master Data Clerk

Purpose

To handle master data entry tasks with precision and ensure data accuracy and integrity across Boxer’s systems while supporting the company’s operational and retail excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• Education:
  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
• Experience:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a data-related or retail environment.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

New Supplier Listings

• Capture supplier trades and prelisting information.
• Update supplier contact details and perform regular audits.

Account Closures

• Manage and ensure accurate data capture for supplier account closures.

New Item Listings

• Input new items into the system using prelisting forms.

Master Data Attribute Changes

• Update and manage master data changes, including:
  • Case pack, barcode updates, configurations, dimensions, UOM (Unit of Measure), categories, tax types, and shelf life/expiry.
  • Adding/modifying brand names and associated Pick n Pay article numbers.

Linking and Ranging

• Link/delink stores to suppliers.
• Activate, suspend, or discontinue items in stores.
• Manage national ranging exercises and replenishment updates.

Buying Help Desk Queries

• Resolve issues related to:
  • Barcode changes, store range alignment, and data anomalies.
  • New store linking, range refreshes, and gap analyses.
