Introduction

To provide efficient customer service in line with the principles of Batho Pele and support the vision of the eThekwini Municipality’s Customer Care Unit.

Key Responsibility Areas

Customer Service:

  • Respond to customer inquiries, information requests, and complaints regarding various municipal services.

Application Processing:

  • Scrutinize and process applications for vending permits from street traders.
  • Handle applications for business licenses related to food handling, entertainment, and hawking under the Business Licensing Act.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems.
  • Update and manage the transactional management register daily.
  • Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with an Administrative Certificate.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
