Key Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of SHE policies to ensure a safe, sustainable, and compliant work environment.
• Draft, review, revise, and enforce operational SHE procedures that set benchmarks for excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to safeguard the organization and its employees.
• Take ownership of duties and responsibilities outlined for the Chief Safety Officer role.

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• B Tech in Safety Management (Essential).
• B Tech in a relevant field (Essential).
• Certificate in First Line Management (Essential).

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in the Safety, Health, and Environment field within an operational setting (Essential).

Additional Requirements:

• Psychometric Assessment (Conducted by Exxaro).
• Certificate of Fitness (Conducted by Exxaro).
• Compliance with MHS Act Reg 2.17.4 for Chief Safety Officer roles.
