Job Purpose
To manage and oversee the provision of towing and auction services, including vehicle assessments, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring operational efficiency within the Fleet Maintenance Directorate.
Key Requirements
- Qualifications: Three-year tertiary qualification in Business/Public Management, Administration, or Management.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in towing, auctions, and vehicle assessments.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in towing, auctions, and vehicle assessment.
- Record-keeping for towing and police clearances.
- Liaison experience with towing merchants and RT46 contract administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee towing and auction services.
- Liaise with client departments, service providers, and stakeholders.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on towing, auctions, and vehicle assessments.
- Administrative and Managerial Duties:
- Prepare auction documentation and vehicle assessment reports.
- Manage staff performance and monitor task completion.
- Document weekly progress and ensure adherence to maintenance procedures.
- Strategic Planning and Development:
- Contribute to initiatives improving towing and auction operations.
- Review and update company records, training matrices, and risk assessments.
- People Management:
- Motivate, coach, and lead the team to meet operational goals.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and delivery of performance targets.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to optimize operations.
