Introduction

Servest Security and Technology, a leading business unit within Servest, is looking for a dedicated Site Manager – Grade A to manage operations and uphold exceptional standards of service at their Germiston sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Operations:
    • Oversee daily site operations in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
    • Maintain discipline, professionalism, and adherence to contractual obligations across all sites.
    • Conduct after-hours site visits to ensure operational continuity and compliance.
  • Client Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
    • Respond promptly to client concerns and provide written feedback on remedial actions.
    • Address client problems, ensuring satisfaction and high service levels.
  • Staff Management:
    • Handle recruitment, induction, and performance management of site staff.
    • Develop staff through training and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
    • Create and manage staff rosters, ensuring schedules are communicated and adhered to.
  • Incident and Report Management:
    • Investigate and manage all serious incidents, supplying detailed statements to clients and the Branch Manager.
    • Prepare monthly operational reports and incident reports as required.
  • Site Compliance:
    • Conduct daily checks of Occurrence Books (OB), registers, and patrol documentation.
    • Ensure up-to-date Job Descriptions, Risk Assessments, and Site Procedure Manuals are readily available on-site.
    • Approve casual staff contracts via email with client consent before deployment.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with industrial relations and health & safety standards on-site.

 



 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Education:
    • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
    • Tertiary qualification in Security Management or related fields (advantageous).
  • Professional Requirements:
    • Grade A PSIRA registration.
    • Firearm competency (Shotgun, Handgun, or Rifle for Business Purposes).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a Site/Contract Manager in the security industry.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent report-writing and communication abilities.
    • Ability to resolve conflicts and maintain professionalism.
    • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Medically fit.
