Purpose of the Role

To ensure smooth and efficient in-store retail operations while delivering top-tier customer service. The ideal candidate will greet customers, monitor for security, assist with product selection, manage visual displays, and process payments and returns.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with product queries
• Handle payments accurately and balance daily receipts
• Stay updated on new products, promotions, and store policies
• Maintain merchandising and display standards
• Restock shelves and ensure pricing accuracy
• Conduct price audits and manage stock as needed
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization
• Resolve customer queries or escalate to management when necessary

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 months’ point of sale experience
• Previous retail sales experience – Essential

Knowledge & Skills

• Computer literate
• Fluent in English and preferably Afrikaans
• Friendly and engaging personality
• Knowledge of POS and payment methods (cash, card, vouchers, etc.)
• Familiarity with stock receiving and merchandising procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stay organized and attentive in a busy environment
