What You’ll Be Doing

As a Stock Controller / Junior Inventory Controller, you will:

• Ensure accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and system reconciliations
• Maintain and update daily and weekly inventory reports to reflect physical stock accurately
• Process stock adjustments, returns, and inter-branch transfers (IBTs) in SAGE Pastel
• Collaborate with production, receiving, and dispatch teams to monitor material usage and variances
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
• Support month-end processes including stock take coordination, variance reporting, and audit preparation
• Monitor stock ageing and slow-moving items, proposing solutions to optimize inventory
• Enforce inventory control procedures and best practices
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are resolved
• Solve stock and system issues while collaborating across teams to drive process improvements

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) in Supply Chain (required)
• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2-3 years’ experience in a FMCG or Production environment (essential)
• 2-3 years’ experience in a stock controlling role (essential)
• Proficiency in SAGE Pastel (essential)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (essential)
• Strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
