Remuneration
- Grade 1: R325 200 – R382 374 per annum
- Grade 2: R397 119 – R459 996 per annum
- Grade 3: R477 564 – R561 378 per annum
- Grade 4: R585 441 – R725 754 per annum
- Plus benefits including:

Minimum Requirements
- Qualification as a Social Worker
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)

Experience Requirements
- Grade 1: No experience required after registration
- Grade 2: Minimum 10 years’ experience
- Grade 3: Minimum 20 years’ experience
- Grade 4: Minimum 30 years’ experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical social work services to patients
- Conduct psychosocial assessments
- Develop and implement intervention plans
- Support safe discharge planning
- Protect vulnerable individuals and families
- Work with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Support and mentor junior staff, students, and volunteers
- Contribute to departmental and organisational goals
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Report writing and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Knowledge of legislation and policies related to social work
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
Additional Requirements
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence
- Understanding of health, human behaviour, and social systems
