Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work degree allowing professional registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker
• Grade 1: No experience required
• Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years appropriate experience in Social Work
• Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years appropriate experience in Social Work
• Grade 4: Minimum of 30 years appropriate experience in Social Work

 

 

 

Recommendation:

• Valid (Code B or higher) driving licence

Key Performance Areas:

• Provide social work services to vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities
• Address social instability issues
• Supervise and support social auxiliary workers
• Stay updated with developments in the social work and social welfare fields
• Perform administrative functions

Remuneration:

• Grade 1: R 294 411 – R 338 712 per annum
• Grade 2: R 359 520 – R 410 289 per annum
• Grade 3: R 432 348 – R500 715 per annum
• Grade 4: R 530 010 – R 647 325 per annum (OSD as prescribed)
