Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work degree allowing professional registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker
- Grade 1: No experience required
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years appropriate experience in Social Work
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years appropriate experience in Social Work
- Grade 4: Minimum of 30 years appropriate experience in Social Work
Recommendation:
- Valid (Code B or higher) driving licence
Key Performance Areas:
- Provide social work services to vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities
- Address social instability issues
- Supervise and support social auxiliary workers
- Stay updated with developments in the social work and social welfare fields
- Perform administrative functions
Competencies:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and norms
- Supervision framework for Social Workers
- Understanding of human behavior, social systems, and interventions
- Information and Knowledge Management
- Proven computer literacy and report writing skills
- Self-management, planning, and organizational skills

Remuneration:
- Grade 1: R 294 411 – R 338 712 per annum
- Grade 2: R 359 520 – R 410 289 per annum
- Grade 3: R 432 348 – R500 715 per annum
- Grade 4: R 530 010 – R 647 325 per annum (OSD as prescribed)
