Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Code B Driver’s Licence and capable of driving
- Motorcycle Licence (or obtainable within 18 months)
- Registered Traffic Officer with National Department of Transport Basic Traffic Officer Qualification (RTMC)
- Compliance with Municipal Police member regulations
- Computer Literacy
- First Aid Certification
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
- No criminal record
- Physically fit and able to maintain fitness levels
- Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, carry a firearm, and maintain firearm competency

- Enforce Traffic Regulations and By-Laws
- Reduce traffic congestion
- Perform crime prevention functions
- Specialised unit duties
- Maintain effective stakeholder relations
- Ensure administrative sequences and documentation
- Conduct training for staff and recruits
- Manage departmental technology use
