As part of the Fidelity Cash Solutions division, this role is essential to ensuring the safe and secure transportation of cash and other valuable consignments.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

As a CIT Driver, you will report to the Branch Manager and be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  • Vehicle Management:
    • Ensure the vehicle is in excellent condition by reporting mechanical faults, refueling, and operating security systems.
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Driving Responsibilities:
    • Safely drive the CPS vehicle.
    • Prevent and report accidents promptly.
  • Security Duties:
    • Assist with loading and unloading of consignments.
    • Maintain radio contact with the base.
    • Conduct security drills and remain vigilant against suspicious activities.
    • Engage with clients and staff, maintaining professional communication.

 



 

 

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the CIT Driver position:

  • Education:
    • Matric Certificate or equivalent.
  • Licensing and Accreditation:
    • Valid Code 10 Driver’s License (C1).
    • Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).
    • Accredited by SIRA with at least a Grade C.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two years of experience in the security industry or a similar role.
    • Minimum of two years of driving experience.
  • Skills and Training:
    • Trained in the use of a handgun, shotgun, and rifle is advantageous.
    • Completed CIT Training is preferable.
    • Completion of an Advanced Driving Course is advantageous.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be prepared to work regular overtime.
    • No criminal records.
