Introduction

Ackermans is seeking dynamic individuals for the position of Shop Assistant/Cashier P27. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer shopping experiences through stock replenishment, merchandising, and efficient transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service:
   • Provide outstanding service to enhance the shopping experience.
   • Assist customers in finding products and addressing queries or complaints.
2. Cashier Duties:
   • Process cash and card payments accurately.
   • Manage lay-bys and customer refunds.
   • Report discrepancies and balance tills.
3. Merchandising:
   • Ensure stock is correctly priced and displayed.
   • Maintain product availability and promote current offers.
4. Risk Management:
   • Adhere to product tagging policies.
   • Participate in stock takes and monitor for shoplifting or fraud.
5. Adherence to Values:
   • Uphold Ackermans values and follow company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Communication: Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial.
• Attributes: Tenacious, energetic, highly motivated, and target-driven.
• Experience: Previous retail experience is advantageous.
