General Worker

Introduction

The Department of Roads and Transport seeks a reliable candidate for a General Worker position. This role offers the chance to provide essential support in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of designated work areas, including loading and unloading equipment and furniture.

Requirements

• Qualifications: ABET or equivalent qualification.
• Skills: Basic numeracy, strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience: No previous experience required.
• Competencies: Knowledge of work procedures relevant to the role and environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services, including the use of cleaning aids and handling waste bins.
• Report any broken cleaning machines or equipment.
• Load and unload furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
• Perform additional general duties as instructed.
