Groundsman (2 Positions Available)

Introduction

The Department of Roads and Transport is hiring two dedicated Groundsmen to help maintain the premises and surroundings at Temba and Mabopane DLTCs. This role requires basic gardening and maintenance tasks to keep the areas clean and well-kept.

• Package: R131,265.00 per annum (plus benefits, Level 2)

Requirements

• Qualifications: ABET or equivalent qualification.
• Skills: Basic numeracy, strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.
• Competencies: Knowledge of work procedures relevant to the role and environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide gardening services, including watering, pruning, trimming, mowing, and weed removal.
• Remove garden refuse, apply insecticides, and cultivate soil for trees and flowers.
• Maintain gardening tools and equipment, report any malfunctions, and perform minor repairs.
