Introduction

The Western Cape Mobility Department is seeking qualified candidates for two permanent Registry Clerk positions in Office Support Services, offering an excellent chance to manage registry and archive services within Government Motor Transport.

Position Details

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
• License: Valid Code B/EB driving license.

Recommended Qualifications

• Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and open physical files, maintain file covers, and file correspondence.
• Capture file details and coordinate file closure and preparation for destruction.
• Maintain various registers, including those for opened/closed files, franking mail, registered mail, and dispatching outgoing mail.
• Assist with messenger and driving duties as needed.

 

 

 

Core Competencies

• Knowledge of: Clerical duties, data capture, computer operation, and basic Public Service regulations.
• Skills: Effective written and verbal communication, computer literacy, planning, and organizing abilities.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Annual Salary: R216,417 per annum (Salary Level 5)
