The eThekwini Municipality in Durban is hiring a Handyman Assistant within its Parks, Recreation, and Culture division. Reporting to the Artisan (Fitter and Turner), this role supports technical services by assisting with various manual tasks and maintenance duties.

Position Overview

Job Purpose

• To execute manual tasks and duties, adhering to policies and procedures to ensure effective maintenance services.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and collect machinery, tools, stores, and materials for daily tasks.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Address public queries and escalate complex issues to the supervisor as needed.
