Introduction

The Department of Community Safety (DCS) is seeking a diligent and reliable General Worker to join the Traffic Management Directorate. This role involves providing essential support services, such as serving refreshments, cleaning, and assisting with document distribution. Package: R155,148.00 per annum plus service benefits

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: ABET or STD 08 (Grade 10) results or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Advantageous Experience:
    • Liaising with senior managers/general public.
    • Working in a similar environment.
  • Criminal Record: No criminal record or pending cases.

    • Cleaning techniques and standards.

Primary Duties

  1. Beverage and Refreshment Services:
    • Serve beverages during training sessions, workshops, and meetings.
    • Submit and manage requisition forms for refreshments.
  2. Cleaning Responsibilities:
    • Clean venues, kitchens, and boardrooms after use.
    • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen appliances, crockery, and cupboards.
  3. Support Services:
    • Provide services to directors and general managers during meetings.
    • Assist with printing and distributing documents.
  4. Record Keeping:
    • Distribute cleaning equipment and maintain accurate records.
