We are looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team. This role supports Cooks and Chefs with food preparation, operates cash registers, serves meals, and ensures a clean and hygienic environment in the canteen and kitchen.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company and Statutory cleanliness and hygiene regulations.
• Meet quality standards for customer service, operations, health and safety, and food quality.
• Assist in food preparation, especially salads and desserts.
• Serve food items, ensuring the serving line is clean and stocked.
• Store and record food leftovers.
• Maintain cleanliness of canteen tables, kitchen areas, and other spaces.
• Provide excellent customer service within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Count and sign over stock to appropriate staff during shift changes.
• Respond to customer feedback and escalate where necessary.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Completed Matric / Senior Certificate.
