Job Description

  • Ability to work under pressure and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Maintain good interpersonal relations with staff and service providers.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret the Western Cape Linen Management Policy.
  • Previous experience in a Hospital Linen Bank is essential.

 



 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective and efficient processing of linen within the hospital.
  • Quality control of outsourced laundering and supervision of internal linen services.
  • Management of all linen records, data, and information with effective communication on operational aspects.
  • Perform pre-condemning of linen and report irregularities to the principal supervisor.
  • Provide support to the Principal Linen Supervisor in HR functions, general administration tasks, and relief duties within the hospital linen management setup.

Requirements

  • General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) or Grade 9 (Std 7).

 



 

 

Additional Information

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
  • No payment required when applying for this position.

Salary and Benefits

  • Annual salary: R 183 279 – R 215 892 per annum, plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
