Introduction
The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registry Clerk: Logistical Services to join the team in the Cape Winelands/Overberg Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and organized registry services to support departmental operations.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
Recommendation
- A valid Code B (or higher) driver’s license is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Registry Counter Services
- Assist clients with registry-related inquiries.
- Handle telephonic and in-person inquiries efficiently.
- Receive and register hand-delivered mail and files.
- Incoming and Outgoing Correspondence
- Receive, sort, register, and dispatch mail.
- Distribute notices on registry matters.
- Filing and Records Management
- Open and close files according to the classification system.
- Ensure proper filing, storage, and retrieval of documents.
- Maintain index cards for all files.
- Office Machine Operations
- Operate machines relevant to registry functions.
- Open and maintain the franking machine register.
- Archiving and Disposal
- Scan, sort, and package files for archives or disposal.

Remuneration & Benefits
- Annual Salary: R216,417 (Salary Level 5).
