Refrigeration Mechanic

Introduction

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the Cold Drinks Equipment (CDE) department in Benrose. The role involves providing technical support and services related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and coffee equipment to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation & Maintenance

• Install and remove fountain and hot beverage equipment.
• Service and repair fountain and coffee machines.
• Troubleshoot and solve situational problems.
• Conduct equipment testing before final assembly.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHEQ) standards.
• Manage own development and performance.

Daily Activities

• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Manage equipment spare parts efficiently.
• Apply advanced assembling and technical skills.
• Understand HACCP & Food Safety regulations.
• Calibrate equipment to meet quality requirements.
• Maintain internal locus of control and performance.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Matric (Grade 12) or N3 in Refrigeration/Electrical.
• Registered Trade Test in Refrigeration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in refrigeration, vending, or fountain maintenance and repair.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license (Code 10 is advantageous).
• Must be a South African Citizen.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
