Registered Nurse
Essential Health Pharmacy Group is seeking a qualified and patient-focused Registered Nurse to provide professional primary healthcare and clinic services in Claremont. This role is suited to an experienced nursing professional who is passionate about preventative healthcare, patient wellness, and delivering quality clinical services in line with South African Nursing Council (SANC) standards and company procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day clinic operations while providing a broad range of healthcare services, including health screenings, immunisations, wound care, reproductive health services, and patient counselling. The role also requires strong administrative and organisational skills to ensure accurate record-keeping, stock control, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and operate the clinic according to company standards
- Conduct lifestyle screening tests and patient assessments
- Administer adult and baby immunisations
- Provide reproductive health services
- Deliver primary healthcare services including wound care and minor ailment treatment
- Maintain safe medical waste disposal practices
- Manage emergencies and adverse events
- Counsel patients on health, wellness, and weight management
- Refer patients to pharmacists and healthcare professionals where necessary
- Plan and implement wellness initiatives and health campaigns
- Maintain clinic stock, equipment, and cold chain processes
- Ensure secure and confidential patient record management
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC
- 3-year Diploma in Nursing or 4-year Nursing Degree
Experience
- Minimum 3 years practical nursing experience across various nursing disciplines
Key Competencies & Skills
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of clinic administration and reporting
- Financial and commercial awareness
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Time management and organisational ability
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work under pressure
- Understanding of stock management and clinic compliance
