Woodlands Dairy is seeking a skilled and experienced Inventory and Supply Chain Superintendent to oversee daily inventory control and supply chain operations within its logistics division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient warehouse operations, optimized material flow, and effective coordination with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders. The role also includes team leadership, compliance management, and continuous improvement of supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

Inventory and Supply Chain Management

• Oversee daily inventory and supply chain operations
• Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control
• Maintain optimal stock levels to support operational requirements
• Monitor and improve supply chain efficiency and performance
• Implement inventory and supply chain best practices
• Ensure cost-effective inventory management

Warehouse Operations

• Manage warehouse operations and material flow
• Ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods
• Maintain inventory records, procedures, and systems
• Ensure inventory accuracy and stock integrity
• Oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of company forklifts

Stakeholder and Supplier Management

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics service providers
• Work closely with internal departments to meet operational demands
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials
• Support supply chain planning and execution activities

Team Leadership

• Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and planners
• Train, mentor, and develop team members
• Monitor employee performance and productivity
• Foster a positive and high-performance working environment

Employee Relations and Compliance

• Chair disciplinary hearings when required
• Manage employee relations and industrial relations matters
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Promote adherence to Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• A 3-year qualification in:
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Logistics
  • Financial Management
• Or a related field
• Valid driver’s licence
• Own reliable transport
• Willingness to work overtime and public holidays when required

Experience Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory management or supply chain management
• Supervisory or team leadership experience
• Experience within warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environments
