Cleaner Supervisor
The Gauteng Department of Health is seeking a Cleaner Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at Cullinan Care & Rehabilitation Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising cleaning staff, ensuring compliance with cleaning standards, managing cleaning resources, and maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Supervise and manage cleaning personnel
- Ensure high cleaning standards are maintained throughout the facility
- Allocate daily duties and work schedules to cleaning staff
- Train cleaners on cleaning procedures and standards
- Monitor staff performance and compliance with cleaning schedules
- Conduct daily inspections and walkabouts
- Report incidents, challenges, and operational issues to management
- Ensure quality control measures are consistently maintained
- Manage leave, overtime claims, and performance management processes
- Compile weekly and monthly reports
- Order, receive, and safely store cleaning materials
- Manage cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Issue cleaning supplies to staff on a daily basis
- Schedule preventative maintenance for cleaning equipment
- Conduct monthly meetings with cleaning staff
- Attend relevant departmental meetings
- Implement disciplinary procedures when required
- Perform additional duties as delegated by management
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have either:
- Grade 10 (Standard 8) plus 5 years of relevant cleaning experience
OR
- Grade 12 (Matric/Standard 10) plus 2 years of relevant cleaning experience

- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations
- Understanding of Infection Prevention and Control processes
- Good communication skills
- Ability to monitor quality standards
- Strong administrative and reporting skills
Working Conditions
