Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 / AET Level 4 or equivalent qualification
- Must be able to read and write
- Minimum of 1 year hospital experience (advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Understanding of Batho Pele principles
- Knowledge of Labour Relations processes
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean wards, offices, corridors, and boardrooms
- Clean floors, windows, doors, benches, and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, and lockers
- Handle spillages and high dusting
- Collect and return food trolleys
- Wash and maintain kitchen utensils
- Refill consumables (toilet paper, hand towels, etc.)
- Clean machines and equipment after use
- Refill water bottles and request cleaning materials
- Ensure cleaning checklists are updated
Working Conditions
- Hospital environment
- Shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Physically demanding duties
