Senior Bookkeeper

Pedros is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join its Head Office Finance team in Centurion. This role is suited for a detail-driven finance professional who can take ownership of the full bookkeeping and reporting function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This position requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable working with large volumes of financial data, performing reconciliations, and analysing financial performance to support decision-making. You will work closely with operational teams, ensuring alignment between financial reporting and business activities across multiple outlets.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial reports
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform inventory valuation and verification
• Ensure tax compliance and adherence to statutory regulations
• Support audit processes and financial statement preparation
• Manage budgets and conduct variance analysis
• Implement internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Liaise with operations teams
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all financial processes

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proven experience preparing management accounts
• Experience in FMCG, retail, or fast-food environment (advantageous)

Key Competencies & Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience with Sage 50, Sage 200, or similar systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Working Conditions

• Office-based role in a fast-paced corporate environment
