Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in rotational, hands-on learning across store operations
• Manage customer experience and engagement
• Support team leadership, development, and administration
• Maintain service levels and operational standards
• Assist with store financial performance (P&L) and reporting
• Manage store expenses and cost control
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, and promotional activities
• Ensure stock availability, quality, and loss prevention
• Maintain housekeeping and compliance with health and safety standards
• Develop strong retail management knowledge and leadership skills

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or related field (advantageous)

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a retail environment
• Exposure to supermarket systems and procedures

Key Competencies & Skills

• Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
• Understanding of retail operations and merchandising principles
• Knowledge of stock handling and promotional planning
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and OHSA standards
• Strong leadership potential and people management skills
• Good communication and customer service skills

Working Conditions

• Retail supermarket environment
• May require weekend and shift work
